Product Induction
Pickled coils are hot-rolled products manufactured from carbon steel coils. They undergo shallow-bath hydrochloric acid pickling to remove high-temperature scale, followed by rust-preventive oil coating. Positioned between black-skinned hot-rolled and cold-rolled products, they offer cost advantages and superior surface quality, making them suitable for certain cold-rolled applications. Key features include clean surfaces, dimensional precision, excellent machinability, and cost-effectiveness. Applications span automotive, home appliances, hardware, and machinery sectors.
Pickling Coil Production Process Flow:
1.Uncoiling and Straightening: Ensures subsequent strip flatness.
2.Multi-stage Countercurrent Hydrochloric Acid Pickling: 3–5 tanks with gradient concentration, temperature 50–60°C, acid flow rate ≥0.3 m/s, online regeneration when Fe²⁺ ≤25%; pickling speed 30–120 m/min, scale removal rate ≥90%.
3.High-pressure water rinsing: Surface residual acid ≤1 mg/m² to prevent secondary rusting.
4.Hot air drying + electrostatic oil coating: Passes 24-hour salt spray test without rust, ensuring seaworthy transport and long-term storage.
5.Coiling + sealed closed-coil packaging: Inner diameter 762 mm, unit weight 15–30 t; surface exhibits silver-white appearance, surface roughness Ra 0.8–1.5 µm, flatness I-unit ≤25.

The Difference Between DD11 and DD12
1.By comparing their chemical compositions, DD12 exhibits lower carbon, manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur content with finer grain structure, resulting in reduced tendency for forming cracks.
2.Compared to DD11, DD12 offers higher elongation, slightly reduced strength, and improved ductility, thereby delivering superior deep drawing performance.
3.DD11 is suitable for “light-to-medium” stamping, bending, and welded tube manufacturing. DD12 is suitable for “medium-to-deep” drawing and complex stamping applications, such as automotive inner panels, seat frames, and appliance side panels.
4.DD12 commands a higher price than DD11 for equivalent specifications.
Application Areas of DD11 and DD12
DD11:
1.Automotive: Excellent ductility, crack-free stamping, suitable for main beams, subframes, front/rear axle suspension components, crash bumpers, brake caliper housings, gear rings, etc.
2.Cabin interior panels: With smooth surfaces and superior weldability, ideal for instrument panel brackets, foot pedals, etc.
3.Home Appliance Housings: Air conditioner and refrigerator compressor casings.
4.Building Hardware: After acid pickling, the Ra 0.8 µm surface allows direct powder coating for supermarket shelving, guardrails, iron ladders, and electrical cabinets.
5.Welded Tube Blanks: Furniture tubes and scaffolding with wall thicknesses of 1.2–2.0 mm, delivering stable weld seam quality.
DD12：
1.Complex deep-drawn parts: Automotive seat slide rails, seatbelt retractor housings.
2.High-precision brackets: Laser-cut with no slag residue, used for seat angle adjusters and instrument beams, thickness tolerance ±0.05 mm.
3.Fan/ventilator housings: Impellers, flanges, silencers. Higher elongation (≥24%) reduces mold wear.
4.Micro motor housings: Single-stage deep drawing with >30% thinning rate, low surface roughness, and reduced machining allowance.
5.Premium hardware: Lock casings, hinges, slides requiring subsequent nickel-chrome plating, with acid-washed surfaces free of oxidation residue.
