CHEMICAL COMPOSITION
| Grade | C | Mn | P | Si | Al | Cu | S |
| SAE1008 (Max %) | 0.10 | 0.30-0.50 | 0.030 | 0.10 | ≥0.020 | 0.20 | 0.050 |
| SAE1010 (Max %) | 0.13 | 0.30-0.60 | 0.030 | 0.10 | ≥0.020 | 0.20 | 0.050 |
SAE1008 offers slightly better formability due to lower carbon content, while SAE1010 provides marginally higher strength. Both grades are fully killed with aluminum for inclusion control.

FAQ
Q: Can I visit your factory?
A: Of course. We welcome customers to visit so that they can:
assess the factory’s production capacity
observe the production process
audit the quality management system
and engage in technical discussions with our engineers
Q: What is the difference between SAE 1008 and SAE 1010?
A: SAE1008: Suitable for deep-drawn parts, complex formed parts, automotive sheet metal components, and exposed surfaces.
SAE1010: Suitable for structural brackets, general manufacturing, tubing, and cost-sensitive applications.
Both grades are high-quality steels and utilize a fully quenched and aluminum-deoxidized process to control inclusions.
Q: What product specifications does your company manufacture?
A: Thickness range: 0.8 mm – 16.0 mm (customizable)
Width range: 600 mm – 2,000 mm
Slitting capability: Minimum width down to 12 mm
Q: Do you keep standard sizes in stock, or do you manufacture to order?
A: We maintain a strategic inventory of popular sizes to ensure fast shipping:
In-stock products: 2.0mm, 3.0mm, 4.0mm, with widths of 1,000mm, 1,250mm, and 1,500mm respectively
Lead time: 7–10 days for in-stock products
Custom orders: 20–30 days for non-stock specifications
Standard thicknesses can be produced in custom sizes with no minimum order quantity.
