Who We Are
We are a specialized manufacturer of DX51D+AZ180 galvalume steel coils, operating integrated coating lines that transform cold-rolled steel substrate into high-performance, corrosion-resistant metal strip. Our production capacity, technical expertise, and quality systems position us as a reliable supply partner for construction, appliance, automotive, and industrial customers across global markets.
Unlike trading companies that source from multiple mills with inconsistent quality, we control the entire manufacturing chain — from substrate selection through hot-dip coating, skin passing, tension leveling, and final inspection. This vertical integration ensures batch-to-batch consistency, full traceability, and competitive pricing without middleman markups.
Understanding DX51D+AZ180
DX51D is the European EN 10346 designation for continuously hot-dip coated steel flat products for cold forming. The "D" indicates cold-forming quality, "X" denotes the base steel type, "51" specifies the yield strength category, and the trailing "D" confirms suitability for drawing and bending operations. Equivalent grades include CS Type B per ASTM A792, SGLCC per JIS G3321, and S550GD+AZ for higher strength variants.
+AZ180 defines the coating composition and mass. "AZ" stands for Aluminum-Zinc alloy coating, typically 55% aluminum, 43.4% zinc, and 1.6% silicon. "180" indicates the minimum total coating mass on both surfaces combined — 180 grams per square meter (90 g/m² per side). This coating weight delivers the optimal balance of corrosion resistance, formability, and cost for most building and industrial applications.
The aluminum-zinc alloy coating provides barrier protection and sacrificial galvanic action superior to pure zinc galvanizing in many atmospheric environments, particularly in high-temperature and marine-exposure conditions.

Manufacturing Process
Substrate Preparation: Cold-rolled annealed coil enters the line and passes through alkaline cleaning, electrolytic cleaning, and hot-water rinsing to remove all surface oils, iron fines, and contaminants.
Annealing: The strip is heated in a reducing atmosphere to recrystallize the steel and develop the desired mechanical properties for the target grade.
Hot-Dip Coating: The clean, hot strip enters the coating bath containing molten 55% Al-Zn alloy at approximately 600°C. A gas-knife system (air or nitrogen) precisely controls coating thickness as the strip exits the bath.
Cooling: The coated strip passes through controlled cooling zones to solidify the coating and develop the desired metallurgical structure.
Skin Pass & Tension Level: A light cold-rolling pass improves surface finish, controls spangle size, and optimizes flatness. Tension leveling eliminates coil set and crossbow.
Chemical Treatment: Optional chromate or chromate-free passivation enhances corrosion resistance in transit and storage. Anti-fingerprint coatings provide additional protection for handled surfaces.
Oiling: A thin corrosion-inhibiting oil film or dry surface per customer specification.
Inspection & Coiling: Automated surface inspection systems detect coating defects, pinholes, and substrate imperfections. Approved coils are precision-reeled and prepared for shipment.
Applications
Building & Construction: Roofing sheets and wall cladding, structural decking, purlins and girts, gutter and downspout systems, garage doors, and insulated panel substrates. The AZ coating withstands UV exposure, thermal cycling, and atmospheric pollutants better than organic coatings alone.
Appliances: Air-conditioner outdoor unit cabinets, water heater tanks, microwave ovens, refrigerator backs and bases, washing machine panels, and solar water heater casings. Heat reflectivity improves energy efficiency.
Automotive: Exhaust system heat shields, muffler components, underbody panels, and fuel tank straps where heat resistance and corrosion protection are critical.
Agriculture: Grain silos, animal confinement buildings, greenhouse frames, and equipment enclosures exposed to ammonia and humid conditions.
Industrial: Cable trays, switchgear enclosures, ductwork, conveyor covers, and outdoor electrical cabinets.
