Mechanical Properties
Yield strength stays below 280 MPa, giving the material the softness needed for press-brake forming, roll forming, and light stamping without excessive springback. Tensile strength ranges 270–410 MPa, providing adequate structural integrity for panels, housings, and brackets. Elongation minimum 28% ensures the steel flows uniformly during bending and flanging without edge tearing.
At 1mm gauge, the material is light enough for appliance skins and electronic enclosures while retaining sufficient stiffness for self-supporting structures. At 2mm gauge, rigidity increases substantially for structural frames, machinery guards, and heavy-duty fabrications where deflection resistance matters.

1mm Gauge Applications: Appliance outer panels, refrigerator doors, washing machine cabinets, microwave enclosures, air-conditioner housings, computer chassis, server racks, LED fixtures, metal furniture, filing cabinets, signage, and light-gauge ductwork.
2mm Gauge Applications: Machinery guards and enclosures, electrical panel boxes, generator canopies, trailer side panels, shelving uprights, racking beams, automotive structural brackets, chassis reinforcements, construction framing, and heavy-gauge ductwork.
Both gauges serve as excellent substrates for downstream galvanizing (GI), galvalume (GL), and prepainting (PPGI) operations.
