Manufacturing Process for Hot-Rolled Patterned Steel Plates
1. Raw Material Preparation: Select the appropriate grade; thickness is typically 150–250 mm. Inspect the slab surface quality and remove any defects.
2. Heating: Heat to a temperature of ≥1250°C to reduce deformation resistance and facilitate subsequent rolling. The heating time is determined based on the slab thickness to ensure uniform core temperature.
3. High-Pressure Water Descaling: Use high-pressure water jets to remove the iron oxide scale formed on the slab surface after heating.
4. Rough Rolling Stage: Vertical roughing rolls (to control width) + horizontal roughing rolls (to control thickness).
5. Descaling before finishing: High-pressure water is used again to remove secondary iron oxide scale.
6. Finishing: During rolling at the final stand, the upper work roll applies downward pressure, imprinting a lentil-shaped groove on the upper surface of the workpiece to form a raised pattern.
7. Laminar cooling: The cooling rate is controlled to achieve the desired microstructure and properties.
8. Finishing operations: Cooling, leveling, cross-cutting, inspection, and storage.
