45# Round Bar Polished Shafts are precision shaft components manufactured from high-quality medium-carbon structural steel 45# (S45C) billets. They undergo turning, centerless grinding, polishing, and optional surface treatments. These shafts offer excellent hardenability, high internal toughness, and combine strength, wear resistance, and cost-effectiveness. Available in diameters from 20 to 2000mm with customizable lengths. A: ① Cold-drawn and precision-ground (soft shaft): Hardness ≈ HB170-210, easy to turn, suitable for subsequent machining.
② Quenched and tempered, precision-ground (hard shaft): Hardness HRC 28-32, optimal comprehensive mechanical properties, ready for direct installation.
③ Quenched and tempered + chrome plated: Surface HRC 60±2, wear-resistant and rust-proof, the mainstream solution for hydraulic piston rods and guide shafts.
Q: How do I choose between flexible shafts and rigid shafts?
A: If subsequent machining of keyways, tapping of internal holes, or welding is required, select flexible shafts;
For applications demanding high load capacity and wear resistance, choose rigid shafts or chrome-plated rigid shafts.
